Professional Experience

 

CLINICAL

Taylored Counseling Services (December 2020 to Present)

    Virtual and in-personal counseling for individuals age 13+ including intake, evaluation, referral, diagnosis, treatment planning, case management, and record keeping. I worked with BetterHelp from  October 2020 to August 2022 and Wyndhurst Counseling Center from  March 2021 to December 2024.
 

Family Preservation Services (August 2018 to October 2020)

    I supervised up to ten staff in both administrative and clinical work for eight community-based programs including intensive in home, mental health skill building, crisis, parenting, and virtual residential programs. I also provided direct care to both adults and children with serious mental illness.
 

Anderson Counseling Services (June 2017 to July 2018)

    I supervised up to six clinical staff for mental health skill building services and grew the program to increase billing and incoming referrals. I also provided direct care to clients with serious mental illness.
 

Horizon Behavioral Health (October 2012 to June 2017)

    My initial position involved inpatient crisis stabilization and detox for adults, including direct crisis response, monitoring the milleu, group facilitation, and general intake procedures. From that position I was promoted to the intake coordinator of the unit, responsible for maintaining 80% or higher utilization and completing intake evaluations for admission. When I became a resident in 2015 I was hired onto the emergency services team where I provided short-term crisis counseling and emergency evaluations in local jails and hospitals.

 

 

SUPERVISION

    I became a supervisor in June 2017 during my residency, supervising QMHP level or higher counselors in community based services. I have also supervised Bachelor's, Master's, and Residency-level counselors in outpatient settings. I have conducted trainings on documentation standards, crisis response, treatment planning, and counseling interventions.

TEACHING

CMHC 512: Group Counseling (October 18, 2023)

    I was a guest lecturer for Dr. Shannon Warden, and provided a presentation on Managing Conflict in Group Work.
 

CMHC 692: Practicum (Summer 2024)

    I supported Dr. Stacey Lilley during her practicum class by providing lectures to students, and facilitating group and faculty supervision of six stsudents.
